Managed Community Hospitals and joint Health and Social Care teams, developing a deep understanding of integrated service delivery and the operational realities of care at the community level. This foundation shaped a career-long commitment to services that genuinely work for patients and staff alike.
Palliative & End of Life Care
Worked within the Hospice movement in palliative and end of life care — one of the most human and demanding areas of health and social care. This experience reinforced the importance of person-centred approaches and the irreplaceable role of compassionate, well-supported teams.
Alternatives to Admission & Safe Discharge
Worked in acute hospital settings with a focus on alternatives to admission and safe, timely discharge — two of the most complex and consequential challenges facing the NHS. Developed practical, system-wide approaches that reduced unnecessary admissions and improved patient flow.
NHS Digital Services & Advisory
Brought operational and strategic experience to bear on NHS digital transformation — advising on programmes, systems, and strategies that must work in the real world of health and care delivery. Trusted by NHS boards and integrated care systems to provide independent, evidence-based guidance.

Served as a Lay Member on and NHS Board - with a lead for Public and Patient engagement. Previously Chief Executive of a Hospice. Trustee of a local Hospice.
