Provided independent strategic oversight across the full programme lifecycle — from procurement and vendor selection through to go-live and post-implementation review. Worked closely with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to ensure the system reflected real care pathways rather than theoretical workflows. Key outcomes included a reduction in duplicate data entry, improved clinical decision support, and a governance framework that has since been adopted as a model for similar programmes.

Commissioned to develop a coherent digital strategy for a newly formed ICS spanning acute, community, primary care, mental health, and social care partners. Facilitated engagement across 14 organisations to surface shared priorities, resolve competing interests, and build consensus around a common data architecture. The resulting strategy was adopted unanimously by the ICS board and provided the foundation for a successful national funding bid.

Worked with the Director of Adult Social Care and their leadership team to develop and implement a digital transformation programme that addressed both the technology and the people dimensions of change. Particular focus on ensuring that digital tools genuinely supported frontline practitioners rather than adding complexity. Outcomes included a significant reduction in time spent on administrative tasks, improved information sharing with NHS partners, and stronger safeguarding processes.

Brought operational and strategic experience to a technically complex programme where the barriers to progress were as much cultural and organisational as they were technical. Facilitated agreement on data sharing principles, supported the development of information governance frameworks, and provided independent assurance to the programme board. The programme delivered a functioning shared care record used by clinicians across the system.

Drawing on direct operational experience in acute settings, provided advisory support to a system working to reduce avoidable admissions and improve discharge outcomes. Worked across hospital, community, primary care, and social care boundaries to identify practical interventions grounded in how services actually work. Outcomes included a measurable reduction in delayed transfers of care and the development of a system-wide discharge protocol adopted by all partners.

Served on NHS boards and advisory panels in an independent capacity, providing challenge, assurance, and strategic guidance on digital programmes and transformation initiatives.
